Course Objective:

This short course is designed to equip participants with essential theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills in metal fabrication, preparing them for employment in construction, industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, and maintenance industries locally and internationally.


Course Modules:

1. Introduction to Fabrication

  • Role of a fabricator

  • Industry safety standards

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

2. Tools and Equipment

  • Measuring tools (vernier caliper, steel rule, tape)

  • Marking and cutting tools

  • Grinders, shears, and drills

3. Engineering Drawings & Symbols

  • Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings

  • Layout and development of components

  • Symbols and dimensions

4. Metal Types and Properties

  • Mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum

  • Sheet metal and plate

  • Behavior under stress/heat

5. Measuring, Marking & Cutting Techniques

  • Measuring and layout

  • Manual and machine cutting

  • Gas cutting, plasma cutting

6. Bending and Shaping Metals

  • Sheet metal bending

  • Rolling techniques

  • Forming angles and curves

7. Welding Basics for Fabricators

  • Introduction to SMAW, MIG, and TIG

  • Tack welding and edge preparation

  • Joining techniques relevant to fabrication

8. Assembly and Fitting

  • Fitting components using jigs and fixtures

  • Clamping, tack welding

  • Final assembly checks

9. Quality Control & Finishing

  • Inspection techniques

  • Grinding, polishing

  • Safety checks before delivery


Practical Training Includes:

  • Layout and development of fabrication projects

  • Cutting and fitting of metal components

  • Real-time practice on workshop machines

  • Welding and jointing practice (basic level)

Course Objective:

This short course is designed to provide practical and theoretical knowledge to become a professional pipe fitter. The program focuses on preparing participants for jobs in construction, oil & gas, plumbing, and industrial sectors both locally and abroad.


Course Modules:

1. Introduction to Pipe Fitting

  • Overview of trade

  • Safety procedures

  • Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

2. Tools and Equipment

  • Types of tools: hand tools, power tools

  • Maintenance of tools

  • Tool safety

3. Pipe Materials & Types

  • Steel, PVC, copper, PPRC, GI

  • Pipe codes and standards (ASTM, API, etc.)

4. Cutting, Threading, and Bending Pipes

  • Manual and machine cutting

  • Pipe threading machines

  • Pipe bending techniques

5. Pipe Jointing Methods

  • Threaded joints

  • Welded joints

  • Flanged joints

  • Soldering and brazing techniques

6. Reading Drawings and Blueprints

  • Symbols and diagrams

  • Isometric and orthographic views

  • Piping layout interpretation

7. Installation Techniques

  • Pipe supports and hangers

  • Pipe alignment and leveling

  • Underground and overhead piping

8. Testing & Maintenance

  • Hydrostatic testing

  • Leak detection

  • Preventive maintenance


Hands-on Training:

Participants will undergo practical sessions in a simulated industrial environment, including:

  • Pipe layout setup

  • Jointing and assembly practice

  • Safety drills
